Description:

The Society was founded in 1880 and its membership is open to anyone who is medically qualified. The Society arranges meetings at approximately monthly intervals from September to June according to a programme suggested by the council. The content of the meetings varies from purely scientific to purely social, but most evening are a mixture of both.

A buffet supper is provided whenever possible.

It may be assumed that guests both medical and non-medical may be invited to meetings and functions unless the contrary is stated. Notices giving full details are sent to members about enclosing cheques made payable to Cambridge Medical Society should reach the Hon. Secretary by the date requested in the notice. Tickets are not issued. The Society welcomes new application for membership which should be addressed to the membership secretary using the application form attached.

The annual membership fee is £20.00

Description:
2013 Educational programme for GPs and Nurses with a special interest in Diabetes.
We will meet every term for 2 hours in the Clinical school at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
These seminars will be facilitated, and driven by the learning needs identified by the group.
The programme is aimed at GPs and nurses in Primary Care, who have a particular interest in Diabetes and who would be prepared to lead on this within their own practice.

There will be a charge of £15.00 per meeting to cover the cost of Refreshments & administration costs.

Participants are expected to sign up for all sessions, but there will be opportunity to attend individual sessions should this be more appropriate.

We will meet every term for 2 hours in the Clinical School at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The programme is driven by the identified learning needs of the group which are then delivered by the group and course leads.

The programme is very much aimed at GPs prepared to lead on this within their own practice – to act as a resource within the practice and ensure referrals are appropriate.

There will be a charge of £15.00 per meeting to cover the cost of refreshments & administration costs.

Participants are expected to sign up for every session and commit to actively use their increased knowledge.

Numbers will be limited and places cannot be reserved without payment.
